Protein Kissèe - La s.a., a food company specialized in the processing of soya and cereals, was created in Abidjan in 1994 with a double objective:

1. To offer to West African families, fortified infant cereals containing soya, with a high nutritional value, great quality, at accessible prices for the majority of people.

2. To bring to the peasants producers, a reliable market for their locally cultivated produces.

PKL's ideal is based on the conviction that the economic performance and the wellbeing of people go together.

Concretely, the ambition of PKL is to manufacture and market in the sub - region, products made with local raw materials, at differing degree of processing, which until now were imported or non-existent.

Today, PKL s.a. is an appreciated actor in the sector of corn and soya in Côte d'Ivoire, a recognized operator (prize winner of the Ivorian Price of Quality in 2002 and 2003), able to innovate (Innovation prize in 2001 for FARINOR), a reliable supplier (ISO 9002 Certification then, ISO 9001Certification in2000) and is equipped with high potential human resources.

PKL has a factory of 5000m² located in the industrial zone of Vridi in Abidjan . It employs 60 people (45% women) including 11 experienced engineers.

The production equipment is composed of three main manufacturing units: one for the processing of soya, the second for the processing of corn and the third which, by a process of cooking-extrusion, allows the making of instant or precooked flours.
