The first vocation of PKL is to offer to underprivileged population fortified food made with cereals and grains of leguminous plants 100% coming from local agriculture.
PKL produces foods in rich proteins and micronutrients, easy to prepare and quickly cooked. This food corresponds to the local food habits and is in conformity with the international standards in terms of quality, hygiene and food security.
The main products are: SUPER NUTRIFORT (Unimix), CSB (Corn Soy Blend), MML (corn semolina), uncooked or cooked soya or corn flour, and enriched corn flours and semolinas, corn in grain and white rice produced by peasants groups, cooperatives and associations of women farmer.
We are the ideal partner in terms of food aid for West Africa : we have the experience, the competence and the capacities of production. Our process is guaranteed by our AFAQ certifications to the ISO 9002 v. 1994 and ISO 9001: 2000 quality standards.
We offer a great flexibility in the production and the delivery of our products. They are manufactured upon request, according to the specifications of the organization ordering and are delivered also according to the needs and of the desired rate of distribution.
Since 1997, PKL provides food to organizations specialized in the emergency food aid. Thus:
to the European Union (ECHO) : 1 600 T of Unimix (1997-1998).
To the WFP – Côte d'Ivoire : corn semolina 1 700 T and 54 T of C.S.B in 2003. During the year 2004: 3 000 T of corn semolina of which, 580 T dispatched in Sierra Leone and 661 T in Guinea - Conakry. In 2005: 1 668 T of local white rice and 1 200 T of corn semolina.
to Action Against Hunger , in August 2003: 25 T of Super Nutrifort for their emergency program in Liberia .
and throughout the year since 1999, we provide Super Nutrifort, to Médecins Sans frontières (until 2002) , to the Sisters of the Oasis of Charity and to other local NGOs.
